It is with profound sadness that we say goodbye to our kind and brave father, Urs Pfund, who fell asleep peacefully on October 5th, 2021.
Urs is predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth Hellbach (May 23, 1994) and leaves behind his children, Nicholas and Oliver, and his life partner for the last 20 years, Marianne Boesch.

Integrity, determination and compassion for others defined him throughout his long career as well as his personal life.

He never forgot his humble roots and very much stayed in touch with his native country in spirit and by visiting there often. He was an active participant in many Swiss clubs and co-founder of the “Swiss Canadian Chamber of Commerce”. He loved playing cards and spending time with his family at his beloved “Glungge” in Morin Heights.
His infectious laugh and jovial manner (hallelujah) will be cherished by all who spent time with him.

The family would like to express their utmost thanks to the staff and medical team of the CLSC Park Extension, without whose help we could not have kept Urs at home for so long. We would also like to thank the entire staff and all the volunteers at the Maison St-Raphaël for their professionalism and exceptional care which allowed Urs to spend his last week in comfort.

Due to COVID protocol a private commemorative service on invitation only will be held on Friday October 29th, 2021 at the Mount-Royal Funeral Complex.
