Ully van der Walde

December 9, 1930 - February 6, 2019

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ully van der Walde on February 6, 2019. Son of Rudolf and Margot van der Walde, predeceased by his sisters Sonja MacBrien and Ruth van der Walde he leaves to mourn his beloved wife Marcelle, his children Anne (Steve), Gail, Rudi, David (Manon), Patrick, and
Patricia (Marc), grandchildren Philip (Annie), Mary Anne (Martin), Max (Gigi), Samantha, Nick, Vincent, Aidan, Yan, and great-granchildren Samuel, Gabriel, and Adèle.

He had a love deep in his heart for the natural world, including the safety of animals, the Laurentian region (Saint-Jovite), and the beaches of Maine, Cape Cod and Nova Scotia.

Ully died peacefully and will be dearly missed by his entire family.

A service for family and friends will be held at Mount Royal Funeral Complex (1297 chemin de la Foret) on Sunday February 17th from 4PM to 9PM. A funeral service will be held in Saint-Jovite at a later date.

Très ému masi également reconnaissant d'avoir connu celui auquel je me suis toujours adreddé comme Monsieur Van der Walde. Lui et ma défunte mère Rachel Côté partageaient un passé adloescent lourd en espiègleries ! Ravi d'avoir pu causer avec Madame Taché et Gail.

Je viens d'apprendre le décès de monsieur Van Der Walde et j'en été profondément attristée. Ma mère, Angela Aubé, qui est décédée en 2010, a travaillé pour ses parents durant de nombreuses années. J'ai eu la chance de parler avec monsieur Van Der Walde au téléphone deux ou trois fois seulement. Il était très fier de sa famille et je crois qu'il s'intéressait sincèrement aux gens qui l'entouraient. J'aimerais offrir mes condoléances à sa femme et à toute sa famille.
