Passed away on April 14, 2021 at the Sacré-Coeur hospital in Montreal. He leaves behind his wife of 55 years, Christiane Flynn, and his four children: Maureen, and her partner, Pierre, her children Alexandre and Emmanuelle; Nathalie, and her partner, Brian, her children Tom and Anne-Marie; Sean and his partner, Ann Marie; Kelly, and her husband Sean and their children, Jonathan and Christopher.

Tom enjoyed a long and successful career working at Texaco Canada for 25 years, residing for a time in Belleville, ON, and later returning to Montreal. Upon retirement from the oil industry, he found a new calling in the travel industry by opening the first CruiseShipCenters (Expedia Cruises) agency in Montreal. In addition to building a successful business, this venture allowed Tom and Christiane to travel the world as well as forging many strong friendships. Throughout his career, he inspired and mentored many people along the way, his impact remembered and appreciated today.

We raise a glass, a martini, no less, as that was his famous drink of choice, and thank him for all that he has meant to us, and the knowledge and the wisdom that he has passed along, and especially for the countless memories of all of the good times that we were privileged to spend with him.

Due to current restrictions, a funeral and celebration of life will be taking place at Belvedere Funeral Complex on August 13th, 2021 at 11 a.m. (place on invitation only). Le 14 avril 2021, à l’hôpital Sacré-Cœur de Montréal, est décédé M. Thomas L. Flynn. Il laisse dans le deuil, son épouse des 55 dernières années, Mme Christian Flynn, ses 4 enfants : Maureen (Pierre), Nathalie (Brian), Sean (Ann Marie) et Kelly (Sean) ainsi que ses 6 petits-enfants : Alexandre, Emmanuelle, Tom, Anne-Marie, Jonathan et Christopher.

Tom a eu une belle et longue carrière chez Texaco Canada, pendant 25 ans, à Belleville, Ontario avant de revenir à Montréal. Suite à sa retraire de l’industrie pétrolière, il eut l’appel du voyage et ouvrit la première agence CentredeCroisières (Expedia Croisières) à Montréal. Grâce à cette réussite, Tom et Christiane ont pu parcourir le monde et créer de bonnes et nombreuses amitiés un peu partout. Au cours de sa carrière, il a agi à titre de mentor pour plusieurs et en a inspiré plus d’un.

Nous levons notre verre de Martini, rien de moins, comme c’était son breuvage préféré, et le remercions pour tout ce qu’il a fait pour nous. Il nous a légué ses valeurs, de nombreuses connaissances et sa sagesse au travers de souvenirs inoubliables ainsi que des bons moments privilégiés passés en sa compagnie.

En raison des restrictions sanitaires actuelles, une célébration de sa vie sera célébrée vendredi 13 août 2021 à 11h en la chapelle du complexe funéraire Belvédère, 22025 Transcanadienne, Senneville, Qc, H9X 0B2, 514 457-4440, sur invitation seulement.
