It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Steven Paul Shatilla on September 20th, 2021. Residing in his eternal resting place, Steven joins his beloved wife Agnes (née Verin).

Steven was the devoted and selfless father of Mark (deceased), Tom (Nathalie), Michael (Heather). Proud “Papa” of Skylar, Mackenzy, Summer and Riley. He was greatly loved by his late brother Richard (Janet), his sisters Frances (Alex) and Susan, along with his nephews & nieces Peter (Amy), Ted (Stephanie), Brian and Geoffrey (Michelle). Steven was adored by his seven great-nieces and nephews, and predeceased by his parents Peter and Cecile.

A T.M.R. resident for more than 70 years, and having attended Mount-Royal High School, he cherished his home and his community. He was also very proud of his heritage being of Lebanese descent, having visited the “Old Country” a few years back.

As a proud member of the Royal Montreal Golf Club, golfing with his many friends and cousins, it was a great setting where “Stevie” loved to hang out with the Boys and kibbitz.

He loved life, adored his family, especially his grandkids who were the apple of his eye, and cherished all his friendships. Steven will be greatly missed by all.

The family is extremely grateful for the love, compassion and anecdotal stories that have been shared during this difficult time.

A private burial will be held at Mount Royal Cemetery.
