Stefan was such a good husband and father. He promised Nancy's parents he would take care of their daughter and he did exactly that for over 35 years. I admired this complete devotion to Nancy and Vanessa. He was very proud of his family and the home he nurtured.

My fondest memories are of the many delicious meals he prepared; the conversation and laughs around the dining room table especially holidays which were very special.

Rest now Stefan with the assurance that Nancy, Vanessa and Christian will be well looked after, surrounded and supported by family and friends.

We will all miss you very much.

I got to know Stefan as a friend in the spring of 2016.My mother was sick and dying at the Glen and Stefan was a floor below her going through his own tribulations .After staying overnight with my mother I would come downstairs and visit with him.We would chat for a half hour or so and I got to know him better. Our forged bond was one of empathy,I witnessed his suffering and he saw my anguish. He told me that he would last as long as he could for Vanessa’s and Nancy’s sake and he did for 5 difficult years.Stefan was a strong and courageous man and I shall remember him fondly.

To Mr. Stefan Velkof, who I barely knew, but to whom I will be eternally grateful for creating my best friend.
I'll remember you in all the ways I had the chance to in the last 9 years. A quiet and resourceful man who kept his friends close and his family even closer. Your love and devotion to Nancy, Vanessa and Christian was a force that kept you with us through difficult times.
I hope you're at peace knowing they are in good hands.
Rest now in our hearts and memories.
