Sophia Roussou (née Koufopoulou)

July 30, 1930 - August 23, 2021

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Sophia Roussou (nee Koufopoulou).

Born in Korono, Naxos, Greece and passed away August 23, 2021 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada at the age of 86 years old.

Survived by her children Steve (Georgia), Jimmy (Helen). Her sister Flora and family (Greece), her nieces, nephews and family friends in Canada and Greece.

The family will receive condolences Thursday August 26th, from 8:30-AM till 10:30-AM at Blythe Bernier Funeral Home 940 Ogilvy, Montreal, Qc. Funeral service will be held Thursday August 26th, 2021, 11-AM at Kimissis tis Theotokou (Panagitsa) Church, 7700 de l’Epee, Montreal, Qc . Thence burial at Mont Royal Cemetery.

Memorial donation may be made in the name of the deceased Sophia Koufopoulou Roussou to Institut Universitaire de Geriatrie de Montreal (IUGM), 4565 chemin Queen Mary, Montreal, Quebec H3W 1W5.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at The Institut Universitaire de Geriatrie de Montreal (IUGM), for their care and compassion.
