I met Rolf when I was 10 years old and I was entranced! Pauline and Robbie have many good memories (going caving, timing commercials, puns, watching Mythbusters to name a few) and are sad covid prevented them from visiting him this year. We all loved and respected him and will miss him so much.

My deepest condolences to the family of Rolf. I knew Rolf in Montreal while skiing and running with the Dynamos at the downtown YMCA. He was a very special person. He once came to Ottawa to run in the marathon. He slept in my guestroom. He snuck out early in the morning without making a sound. Such a great athlete!

Dear Family,
I was sorry to hear about Rolf's death. I remember him vividly as such a enthusiastic skier and founding member of the Ville-Marie Ski de fond club. He was memorable for his excellent ski advice and cryptic comments as well as his sweater, hand knit by his mother and his ever present rucksack. He enjoyed the club get togethers at Jackie's home. He and Marie would bring his delicious Gravlax to share with all the gang.
He was a beautiful man and will be unforgotten.
Please accept my condolences.

Rolf has been a large part of my x-country skiing life, as he and myself, Ari and Sharron formed a new ski club from another that had management problems. So for more than 30 years all of us were on that ski bus every week in the winter, enjoying skiing at great locations up North and in the Eastern townships, and of course being at our beginning and ending ski parties at my house, where Marie often came to help out.
I have enjoyed celebrating Rolfs' special birthday parties, and the times he came up north to my former country house in the summer.
We will miss him!

I left this same entry at Didn't know there were 2 sites! I put a composite photo there as well.
