It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Rita Noreika Cheply on Monday August 16, 2021, in Hudson, Quebec, at the age of 65.

Predeceased by her husband William Cheply, she leaves behind her beloved daughter Amanda (Claude) and her brother Albert (Edwina) as well has her nieces, nephew, extended family, and an incomparable circle of friends.

She spent her final days in the wonderful hands of the staff at the Hudson Palliative Care Center after a long fight with cancer. She was grateful that she could have her buddies Leo and Rocky spend time by her side while there.

The family wishes to thank the caring staff of the Hudson Palliative Care Center, the dedicated team of NOVA Hudson, and the outpouring of support from her many friends in this difficult time.

In memory of Rita, and in lieu of flowers, donations to La Fondation de Soins de Santé de Vaudreuil-Soulanges and NOVA Hudson are encouraged.
