Notre mère, Rita Albert, "la gentille dame", nous a quitté vendredi le 22 juin 2018 à l'âge de 87 ans. Souriante jusqu'à la dernière heure, elle était l'amie de tous. Aventurière, dès son plus jeune âge, son métier d'infirmière lui a permis de parcourir le monde, de l'Europe à l'Amérique. Plus tard, elle a passé la plus grande partie de sa carrière comme infirmière visiteuse pour la VON à Montréal. Elle a ensuite terminé sa carrière au Neuro puis au Royal-Victoria. Mariée à Michel Lacombe pendant de longues années, elle a donné naissance à Julien et Sonia. Au fil des 25 dernières années, elle a profité de sa "vue sur le fleuve" du sommet de son condo à l'Île des Soeurs et surtout, elle a aussi profité de ses 6 petits enfants. Elle s'est éteinte paisiblement, en compagnie de trois employés du pavillon Alfred-Desrochers du IUGM.
Nous tenons d'ailleurs à remercier chaleureusement le personnel dévoué de cet établissement public ainsi que Béatrice Nyambirigi et son équipe qui ont embelli la dernière année de notre mère. Nous tenons aussi à remercier ses fidèles amies et les membres de la famille qui l'ont visitée régulièrement au fil des années.

Vous êtes cordialement invités à venir la voir une dernière fois au salon. Inutile d'apporter des fleurs, vos bons souvenirs seront par contre grandement appréciés.

Our mother, Rita Albert, "the gentle lady", passed away Friday, June 22, 2018 at the age of 87. Smiling until the end, she was everyone's friend.
Adventurous since her early days, her nurse diploma got her to fly all over the world, from Europe to America. Later, she spent most of her career as a visiting nurse for the VON in Montreal. She finished her career at the Neuro and the Royal-Vic. Maried to Michel Lacombe for a long time, she gave birth to Julien and Sonia. During the past 25 years, she enjoyed her "river view" high above from her Nun's Island condo and most importantly, she enjoyed her six grand-children. She left peacefully, surrounded by three employees from the IUGM's pavillon Alfred-Desrochers. Talking about it, we wish to deeply thank all the devoted personnel of this public establishment as well as Béatrice Nyambirigi and her team who brought sunshine into our mother's life for the past year. We also wish to thank our mom's long time and close friends and relatives who visited her regularly over the years.

You are warmly invited to visit her one last time at the salon. No need for flowers but your good old joyful memories will be greatly appreciated.
