In Celebration of

Renée Marak (née Kashe)

December 28, 1954 -  November 14, 2022

Renée Kashe Marak passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at the Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence, on November 14th, 2022. She is survived by her husband of 42 years Mike, her children Michael (Alisha Michalovic) and Margaret, her grandchildren Oliver and Thomas, as well as many beloved family and friends.

Renée attended Concordia University, studying computer science. There, she met her husband Mike and shortly after they got married. They moved to the West Island where they lived together with their children in Pointe-Claire. Renée was very involved in the community while supporting her family and watching her children grow up. She felt blessed to be a wonderful grandma to her two grandchildren and enjoyed spending every opportunity she had with them.

Renée lived for her summers at Valois Pool, where she would judge diving, officiate swimming, and donate her time to any event. She loved aquafit and the Valois Pool community. Renée was also very involved with the Girl Guides of Canada, participating for almost 30 years. She was a Girl Guide and Spark leader and enjoyed providing opportunities to youth. She loved giving back to her community through Girl Guides and volunteering. In her free time, she also enjoyed learning new languages, including Spanish and German. Renée will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Visitation will be held at the Belvedere Funeral Complex at 22025 Trans-Canada Hwy, Senneville, Qc, H9X 0B2, 514 457-4440, on November 25th, 2022, at 11:30 am followed by a service at 1:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence or the Girl Guides of Canada (Quebec Council).

My dear friend you will be greatly missed. I have been so lucky to have known you and share so many memories. Our girl guide camps won’t be the same without you keeping us in order.

It is with a heavy heart that I learn of Renée's passing. Her laughter and smile will be missed by those of us who knew her during her university years. I wish all the best to her family and friends. She will be missed.

Beautiful photo and tribute. You have captured her two biggest passions outside of her family - pool life and the Girl Guiding world. She contributed wholeheartedly and perpetually to both and will be greatly missed. Hugs to all ♥️
