In Celebration of

Paul Keefe

There are very few words to express the profound pain and sorrow that we feel for the loss of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Francis Paul Keefe, who passed away, in Montreal, on December 3, 2021.
He leaves behind his soulmate and wife of thirty-one years, Birgitte; his children Brendan, Michelle, Laureen and Ashley; his grandchildren Kailee, Shelby, Rylie, Mackenzie and Ryan; his brothers and sisters in Toronto and Halifax, his brother- and sister-in-law in Calgary; nieces and nephews, as well as extended family in PEI.
Paul was born in Ottawa on August 18, 1943 to Helen Carragher and Leslie Keefe. After obtaining his CA in 1966, he forged a highly successful career as chief financial and senior operating officer of several Canadian financial institutions. From 1995 until his retirement in 2007, Paul was the owner of MLS Inc.
His retirement years were spent playing golf at his home away from home, The Royal Montreal Golf Club, and travelling around the world with Birgitte and his golf bag by his side.
Paul’s enthusiasm and energy knew no bounds. He inspired us all with his love of life, humour, vision, intelligence, integrity, resilience and his infectious positivity which carried him through many health challenges.
Thank you, beloved Paul, for being part of our lives. You will remain in our hearts forever and we will follow your example by living each moment of our lives to the fullest.
A celebration of Paul’s life will be held in 2022.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Paul’s memory to the Cedars Cancer Foundation.
