In Celebration of
Patrick Neely
March 2, 1995 -
September 22, 2019
Fondation du Collège De Montréal (In Memoriam Patrick Neely)
Fondation du CHUM
It is with great sorrow that we must announce the death of our son, brother, friend, Patrick Neely, the 22nd of September 2019. He was 24 years old.
Patrick collapsed while participating in the Montreal half-marathon.
After many hours of emergency health care, Patrick left us on Sunday evening September 22nd, surrounded by his parents, Sean Neely and Josée Lamy, his brother Alec, his sister Sophie, his 3 roommates as well as many closer friends and their parents.
He leaves behind his Neely grandparents, many aunts, uncles, cousins, work colleagues, and an impressive range of friends that span many groups in Montreal, Mont-Tremblant and around the world.
Patrick lived life to the fullest. He was a practicing Engineer that loved his job. He also enjoyed all sports. He was everybody's friend and through his good humour, easy smile and wry sense of humour created many friendships. His social web was extremely impressive for someone his age.
As his friends share stories, photos, and videos, we are overwhelmed by Patrick's love of life. We lost a very special person.
We wish to thank everyone for the outpouring of support received since Sunday. A real tribute to Patrick and our community.
We will be celebrating Patrick's life the 3rd and 4th of October.
