In Celebration of

Patrick Broadwood Clark

October 6, 1922 -  April 25, 2020

It is with great sadness that the death is announced of Patrick Broadwood Clark. He died at home on April 25, 2020, after a brief illness in his 97th year. A thoughtful, capable and kindly gentleman, Pat, as he was known, was the son of Francis W.G. Clark and his wife Marie Mellon Clark. His sister Elizabeth Jane Clark Byers predeceased him in 1994 and his nephew Ian Byers died in 2018. Pat was married to Muriel Evelyn McMaster Clark for 44 years. She died in 2017. Pat will be greatly missed by his devoted niece Cynthia Byers O’Keefe of Toronto, and her husband Terry, and their children Shannon and John. Pat was a decorated veteran, serving as Radio Officer aboard the SS Tecumseh of the Canadian Merchant Marine service during World War II. After demobilisation, he worked for National Business Publications and Harpell’s Press in St. Anne de Bellevue, which became part of Southam Publications. Pat and Muriel enjoyed many happy years of retirement in Montreal and their country cottage in the Townships before finally coming to live at Place Kensington in Westmount. The family wishes to thank all the staff, especially Sylvia Zagury and Sandra, for their kindly care of Pat and his wife. Special thanks also to Edna Ralston and Susan Stevenson for their loving kindness. Funeral arrangements to celebrate Pat’s life will take place when life and travel are simpler, and friends will be notified. Gifts in memory of Pat may be given to the charity of your choice, with the thanks of the family.
