It is with a great sense of loss the family of Pat,83,announces her peaceful passing in Montreal on January 8th,2019.Born September 29th,1935 in Montreal Quebec,she was a daughter of Arthur and Pearl Perry. Survived by her sisters Joan Perry and Karen Hooper(Frank Metzger),brother Ken Hooper(Bernice Hooper)niece Jennifer Landry(David Landry),great niece and nephew Megan and William and cousin Lois Crawford(Carl Crawford).From an early age Pat always had an inquisitive mind and a love of learning.Her natural path was to follow a career in teaching and then as a guidance councillor.As a young woman she visited many parts of the world and after retirement she continued her passion for travel.Last year Pat made her ultimate trip to Antarctica.She loved the natural world,found inspiration and solace in the countryside of the beautiful Laurentians and Eastern Townships of Quebec.An avid skier swimmer and kayaker she always kept moving.She loved books,art classes and volunteer work with children.Pat was a great listener with an enormous capacity for empathy and wisdom.She had an excellent sense of humour with a big genuine laugh.She loved her many friends in Montreal and she loved walking her dog Shawn,through the wooded paths of Mount Royal.She was courageous and determined in her approach to life.Her strong spirit and loving heart will be with us always.A Celebration of Life has taken place and condolences can be sent to Blythe Bernier Funeral home.Donations in Pat’s memory can be made to UNICEF Canada.
