Nichole Bégin Langlois est décédée le 26 février 2023, à l’âge de 84 ans à Gatineau, suite à des complications d’une chute. Elle fut précédée par son époux bien-aimé, Pierre F. Langlois.

Ses deux rêves étaient d’être une artiste et d’avoir une grande famille. Elle a atteint le premier grâce à sa poursuite passionnée de tout ce qui était artistique. Ces champs d’intérêt variaient, de la couture de ses propres vêtements et de ceux de ses enfants, à la tapisserie (co-auteur d’un livre intitulé La Tapisserie : création-exécution en 1974), au tricot et au crochet, à la photographie et aux arts. Mais sa curiosité ne s’est pas arrêtée là, elle était aussi une femme en avance sur son temps à bien des égards, poursuivant le jardinage biologique, l’apiculture, la radiesthésie et la médecine alternative avant qu’ils ne deviennent la nouvelle tendance.

Bien qu’elle n’a pas tout à fait eu l’équipe de baseball qu’elle espérait avoir, elle a eu cinq enfants : Sylvie, Francis, Madeleine, Joanne et Anick. Elle aimait être grand-mère pour ses onze petits-enfants (ainsi que ces trois petits-enfants adoptés) et cinq arrière-petits-enfants.

Nichole Bégin Langlois died at the age of 84 on February 26, 2023, in Gatineau, due to complications from a fall. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Pierre F. Langlois.

Her two dreams were to be an artist and to have a big family. She achieved the first through her passionate pursuit of all things artistic from sewing her own and her children's clothes, to tapestry making (co-authoring a book titled La Tapisserie: creation-execution in 1974), knitting and crocheting, photography, and arts and crafts of all kinds. But her curiosity didn't stop there, she was also a woman ahead of her times in many respects, pursuing organic gardening, beekeeping, dowsing and alternative medicine before they trended.

Although not quite the baseball team she hoped to field, she had five children: Sylvie, Francis, Madeleine, Joanne and Anick. She loved being a grandmother to her eleven grandchildren (plus three adopted grandchildren), and five great-grandchildren.
