With heavy heart we are sad to announce the passing of Nicholas Najar.
Born in Montreal 95 years ago to parents from Lebanon. Elias Najar and Ramza Saba Najar. Grew up with Brothers Costa,Micheal,Johnny,Dimitri (Jimmy) and sister Mary.
Nick was helping his father at his Taylor shop when the war broke out.
He started working for Howick Apparel Ltd. Age 13 and stayed on for almost 70 years.
He met my mother Rose at the company. They were best of friends for many years. One day he finally asked her out, six months later they were married. A wonderful 65 years of love and friendship.
An amazing loving husband and devoted father. He gave my brother and I so much love and attention. We would have several discussions about life, history music. We would go to Florida every summer and have wonderful times. He taught us kindness and respect. Was loved by so many people.
Dad use to box at and won the golden glove sometime in the mid 1940’s.
Couched hockey, baseball and Football .
He was a legend and has an impact on many who knew him.
Nick is leaving behind his beautiful wife of 65 years Rose. Daughter Barbara Ann (Dave Harroch) grand- children Marc (Stephanie) Eric (Tara) and Stephanie. Son Louis (Lyn) grandchildren nIcky and Lyndsey
Great grand Children Brooklyn, Brady,Joey and Sarah.
And late son in law Andrew Kmec
He adored all his grand-children and had an amazing relationship with them. Loved his great grand- children. They warmed his heart
