In Celebration of

Nancy Bengough

March 24, 1942 -  May 8, 2021

On Saturday, May 8th, in her 80th year, and after a 4-year battle with Lewy Body Dementia, we sadly said goodbye to Nancy, who passed away peacefully in her home in Saint Sauveur surrounded by loved ones.

Nancy was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother, but also had a creative talent and greatly enjoyed quilting for many decades. While cherishing her friendships and responsibilities with local guilds (Beaconsfield and the Laurentians), her passion, enthusiasm, and talent flourished.

Nancy will be greatly missed by Robert, her beloved husband of 56 years, her children Peter (Ruth), John (Tracey), and Suzanne (Sylvain), brother-in-law Norman (Lesley), nephew Michael (Kimberly) and grandchildren Megan and Cameron, Claire and Katie, and the late Jesse.

Due to the COVID19 pandemic, a private service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Nancy's memory to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or Parkinson Canada.

Nancy was not only one of the most talented quilters I've know, she was one of the kindest and gentlest human beings I've ever known. Our hearts go out to Robert and the family. Take comfort in how much she loved all of you.

My deepest sympathy to the Bengough family. I was very saddened to hear of Mrs. Bengough’s passing. I have such fond memories in my childhood of creative crafting, poncho’s, sleepovers and Gingerbread houses. Such a great friend to my mother and an amazing person. She will be missed.

Nancy was very well regarded and highly respected by all who knew her.
As well as being very talented, she could have written a book on Proper Etiquette - she was a LADY and will be missed.
