In Celebration of

Marion Rae

March 5, 1923 -  March 4, 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marion Rae (nee Cossar) on March 4, 2021 the day before her 98th birthday. Marion leaves behind her 5 children, Malcolm, Brian, Laura (Greg), Shirley and Beverley. 10 grandchildren Tracy (Bryan), Michael, Nick, Chris, Amanda, Veronica, Dylan (Kaylee), Stephanie (Morgan), Lisa (Nicki) and Debbie. 4 great-grandchildren Thomas, Tyler, Krystal and Piper. She devoted her life to her children and grandchildren, she raised her children with love and devotion always putting her family first. She was an amazing Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother who always had time for her family. Our Mom was as strong as she was beautiful. She was adored by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marion was born in Burgeo, Newfoundland, she moved to Montreal in 1941 where she worked as a waitress on the boats, worked at CPR Hotel then married in 1950 and moved to Pincourt in 1953 where she brought up her family. Living in the same house for 67 years. Many parties and dinners were held there for family and friends. She worked at Baie D’Urfe Curling Club until she retired at the age of 65. Then she happily babysat her grandchildren. She enjoyed playing bridge with her friends and a good Canadians hockey game.
A special thanks to Dr. Matthew Vincent and the nurses at the CLSL Vaudreuil for all their care and attention they gave to our Mom.
Due to current circumstances, a service for immediate family only will be held on Friday March 12th, 2021 at 3 p.m.
A celebration of life will follow in the summer of 2021.
In lieu of flowers a donation to the Heart and Stroke foundation would be appreciated.

NANNY
With the gift of years comes the treasure of knowing that there are SOOO many, who love YOU dearly!!
The memories you have made with us, will last forever, and the tenderness will never fade!!
The most wonderful gift that you could ever give us, was the special part of you, that now lives in each of us!!!
And the truth your love has taught us can only be strengthened by the gift of time!!!
For where roots grow deep, memories grow forever!!!!

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there… I do not sleep.
I am the thousand winds that blow…
I am the diamond glints on snow…
I am the sunlight on ripened grain…
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you waken in the morning’s hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of gentle birds in circling flight…
I am the soft star that shines at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry—
I am not there… I did not die
