In Celebration of

Margaret (Peggy) Joyce Cooper

October 4, 1932 -  November 17, 2018

Born on October 4th 1932, of Brossard, Quebec, beloved mother of Nicholas, Christina, Jane and Philip, mother-in-law of David and Jenny, grandmother of Amy, Emily, Zoe and Tavis and of her doggie friends Goosey and Minnie, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer in the small hours of the morning of November 17th, 2018, aged 86 years.

A woman of poise who carried with her a smile, a smile to be shared. Not one to complain, Peggy fought hard for those she loved, to face what were to be her final days with an unremitting strength born of inner grace and compassion.

Those who have known her are better for it. A constant gardener, a mother and grandmother of four and friend of so many, Peggy was a listener who offered gentle but diligent selfless attention to the needs of others. If there was one thing that brought her the greatest peace of mind it was the simplest of pleasures, that of bringing pleasure and peace of mind to those she knew.

“And even though we try, the truth brings us to tears. All our words cannot express the joy she brought us through the years.” Moments out of which lives are made: moments shared, moments treasured. A beautiful presence from beginning to end, Peggy, our English Rose, our candle in the wind, will ever be in our thoughts.

Condolences will start by noon on Saturday, December 15th 2018, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 pm and a reception at the:
Complexe funéraire Mont-Royal
