Passed away peacefully in her 98th year. She leaves behind her son Frank Canis (Anne), grandchildren Andrew (Sabrina), Lloyd, Stephen and Ian. She was predeceased by her husband Paul Johannes Canis, her sister Charlotte (Georg) and brother Kurt (Gretel). A celebration of life will be held at Blythe Bernier Funeral Home on Sunday 15th October 2017. Trudie was born in Zwickau, Germany and emigrated to Canada in 1950 settling in Montreal with her husband Paul. She worked for Uniroyal for many years in their Credit Department until she retired. Trudie loved tennis, bridge, chess and Sudoku puzzles as well as her cottage in Lac Saguay. Thank you to the wonderful staff at Chateau Westmount who looked after her so well during her final year.
