Marc David Fiset

July 12, 1977 -  January 12, 2018

Marc David Fiset, age 40, died on Friday January 12th 2018 at the West Island Palliative Care Residence in Kirkland. Marc was born on July 12th, 1977 to Rita (O’Connor) and David Fiset and was lovingly adored by his older sister Lisa. Marcky passed away peacefully, surrounded by those who loved him. Anyone who met Marcky was greeted with a smile and a quick hair rub. He loved going for a drive in the van, watching the kids play in the pool and had a soft spot for women with long hair. He leaves behind his parents, Dave and Rita, his sister Lisa (Keith Payne), his niece Avary and nephew Owen as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the West Island Palliative Care Residence who provided our family with exceptional care, comfort and support. Dave, Rita and Lisa, I am so sad to hear that Marc has left our family. When I looked into his eyes, I always felt that he had something to tell us. As I said to Lisa in a message, one of, if not THE, biggest regrets that I live with is not having spent more time with my uncles, aunts and cousins and not having gotten to know the new members of our large O,Connor famille. Marc had the best and most loving care any boy/man with a disability could hope for. While he has moved on, he lives on in your love for each other at this sad and difficult time . . . and forever. With love and hugs, Gina.

You shall be missed by so many people. I worked in another class but I went to visit you three or four times a week just to enjoy your company and smile. Rest in peace now.

I am so sorry to hear of Marc's passing. I still think of him (and your family) often and cherish the memories of him. I will always think of Marc sitting in the gym in his wheelchair and refusing to push until I flipped my hair. I can still hear his squeals of glee followed by the chuckle. He had me wrapped around his little finger, or index finger as he pointed at me telling me what he wanted. I always enjoyed the time I spent with him at your home, you're such a wonderful family. Sending my love and healing to your family.
