In Celebration of

Madeleine Greer (née Théberge)

January 11, 1920 - November 26, 2021

It is with much sadness that we announce the loss of our matriarch, Madeleine, who passed away in Montreal at the age of one hundred and one. Madeleine was predeceased by her husband Gordon Greer, her son Robert, and her daughter Susan. She is survived by her son James, her daughter-in-law Karen Richie-Greer, her grandchildren Jared and Stephanie, and her great grandson Brixton. A celebration of Madeleine’s life is planned for the Spring. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Fondation Institut de Gériatrie de Montréal (www.figm.ca) would be appreciated.

I am so sorry to see Madeleine has passed. I never got to meet her but through her son's generous sharing of photos, etc. I have felt I almost had that privilege. She has left a fine family behind which speaks to her strengths. May she Rest in Peace.

I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to the Greer family. I grew up with Susan and attended St. Malachy's school with her. Mrs. Greer always made me feel so welcome in her home. She was a sweetheart. May the songs of the angels bring her home to her eternal resting place.
