Dr Lorne Aaron

C’est avec grande tristesse que nous vous annonçons le décès de Dr Lorne Aaron, survenu à Montréal le 30 avril 2022, chez lui et entouré de ses proches. C’était un homme profondément dévoué à sa famille, attentionné, vif et loyal. Passionné de pêche, d’art et de musique, il a fait grande impression auprès de tous ceux qu’il a côtoyés par son intelligence, sa détermination et son éthique de travail. Il a œuvré plusieurs années comme urologue à l’hôpital Charles-Le Moyne et s’est impliqué de façon remarquable, tant dans l’association canadienne d’urologie que dans l’association des urologues du Québec. Il a gardé son sens de l’humour légendaire et sa dignité jusqu’à la toute fin.
Il laisse dans le deuil sa conjointe, Valérie Lamarre, ses filles, Michelle (Thomas Williams) et Catherine (Ignacio Poppe), sa mère Marilyn (feu son père Irving Aaron), sa fratrie Shawn (Karen Wolfish) et Tracey (Adam Balinsky) ainsi que ses nièces et neveux (Maddie, Bailey, Jake, Bruce et Emily), toute sa famille élargie, ses amis et ses collègues.
La famille vous accueillera pour les adieux le mercredi 4 mai 2022 à 11h au Complexe funéraire Mont-Royal, 1297 Ch de la Forêt, suivis du service funéraire à midi. Une réception célébrant la vie de Lorne aura lieu au domicile familial à partir de 17h. Un don en son honneur à la Fondation de l’Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont pour le centre de thérapie cellulaire ou à l’organisme de charité de votre choix serait apprécié.

It is with great sadness that the family of Dr. Lorne Aaron announces his peaceful passing, at home and surrounded by his loved ones, on April 30th, 2022, in Montreal. Profoundly devoted to his family, Lorne was a loyal, witty and caring man. With his intelligence and determination, he leaves a lasting impression on all those who shared his life. He worked for many years as a urologist at Charles-Le Moyne Hospital and was actively involved in both the Canadian and Quebec Urological Associations. He was passionate about music, arts and fishing. He kept his legendary sense of humour and his dignity until the very end. He will be lovingly remembered by his spouse, Valérie Lamarre, his daughters, Michelle (Thomas Williams) and Catherine (Ignacio Poppe), his mother, Marilyn (late father Irving Aaron), his brother Shawn (Karen Wolfish) and sister Tracey (Adam Balinsky), his nieces and nephews (Maddie, Bailey, Jake, Bruce and Emily), as well as his extended family, friends and colleagues. The family will receive condolences at 11 AM followed by a funeral service at noon on May 4th, 2022, at the Mount Royal Funeral Complex, 1297 Ch de la Forêt. A reception in honour of his life will be held at the family residence, starting at 5 PM. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Lorne’s name to the Cellular Therapy Center of the Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont Foundation or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
