In Celebration of

Liselotte Pam Fisher (Omi)

March 15, 1919 -  September 23, 2018

Liselotte, known to her family and close friends as Omi, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2018, in her 100th year. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother; an amazing friend, advisor and confidant; a ceramist, painter and jewellery maker; an avid tennis player, golfer and skier; she was passionate about the Arts, Literature, and Bridge; she was famous for her kitchen creations and wonderful parties and most of all, she was a lover of life, travel and adventure.

Predeceased by her husband Bernard and son Garrick, Omi was survived by her daughter Marlene (Philip Stern); daughter-in-law Pauline, and son Douglas (Liz) and their families. Omi loved her 12 grandchildren (Kris/Leana, Daniel/Marika, Gregory, Andy and Matt Fisher; Sarah, Oliver/Asia, Emily and Caroline Stern) and 2 great grandchildren (Vinson and Vivienne Fisher) more than life itself.

The lives she touched, and the people who were part of her extended family, are simply too numerous to count. She was inspired by everyone’s story and was ever-present in every conversation; singularly focused on squeezing the most out of each day (“rest would come later”). Compassionate and empathetic, she was a true force to be reckoned with and a spirited, strong and independent woman; confident and artistically gifted.

Her family extends their heartfelt thanks to her companions and caregivers, including Nadia and Rose; and to the staff at Westmount One. Special thanks for the compassionate work of the doctors and nurses of CLSC Cote-des-Neiges.

A memorial service/celebration of life will be held on October 9, 2018 at 1 p.m., reception will follow at Mount Royal Funeral Complex,
1297 Chemin de la Foret,
Outremont, Quebec,

I have good memories of decades past when I would visit the Fisher home where Liselotte would always treat me as a member of the family. She was fun, a good mother and a great baker.

Dear all:
Since our time in Canada we were introduced to Liselotte by Paul Clayton (now deceased) and have indelible memories of Liselotte being the embodiment of an artistic, humourou, gentle and always fascinating woman. Her trials and tribulations made her stronger as her core values were based on her love of life and people. She was unshakeable and determined.

Her memory will always be with us.

With all our loves
Kamu and Krishna Bhavnani
