His ever-smiling face is what I remember most about Keith. To Margaret and the children, may God give you His Peace during this difficult time.
My sincere condolences to Keith’s family.
Rest in perfect peace.
I didn't meet Keith until he was in his 80th year, when I was invited to join the "Group LeBrun" golfing fraternity, as a spare. The core group were getting older and they needed some new blood to keep up the numbers.
From the very first game I felt totally included with their easy going friendly nature and even as a spare I was getting to play quite often with them.
Keith was always a gentleman. He loved to critique his fellow golfers but never during play. He would always ask his foursome, before teeing up on the first tee, how they thought they would play that day and what score they would make.
After the game he would send an email to his foursome with, his lighthearted, usually astute and often funny, critical appraisal of each player in the group, including himself.
After some years, I think it was in the fall of 2017, Keith and Arnold who had operated the group from the beginning decided they would like to hand over the reins to some young bucks and asked Mike Laekas to take over the operation.
Mike said he would only do it if I came on board and I have to say I was honored to be considered. Mike took over the functions of Keith, negotiating and communicating with the clubs which we honored with our presence, and I took over the task of deciding who played with who.
The "Group LeBrun" will continue as a memorial to Keith.
I am sure that all of the members who knew Keith will remember him every time they play golf with the "Group LeBrun".
R.I.P. Keith
So sorry to hear of Keith’s passing. I met Kieth as a member of the golfing group he started and was impressed with his friendliness and the summaries of the golf games he would send us. He will be missed.
My sympathies to Margaret and family.
Kieth will be missed by his golfing buddies who enjoyed is great sense of humor.
