In Celebration of

Katina Kantza Tsonis

July 18, 1933 -  March 10, 2020

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Katina Tsonis (née Kantza) on March 10, 2020 at the age of 86. Beloved wife of Fotis (Frank) Tsonis for 60 years, cherished mother of George (Toula) and Nayia and adored yiayia of Francis and Peter.

Born in Pylos, Greece, she came to Canada at the age of 25 where she shortly thereafter married her high school sweetheart Fotis. She worked in the textile industry for several years and later chose to stay home to raise her family. She enjoyed “having coffee” with family and friends and in later years enjoyed her summer vacations in her homeland.

She will always be remembered for her honest and nurturing character but mostly for her appreciation of kindness and respect for others. She will be greatly missed by all.

The family will receive condolences on Sunday, March 15, 2020 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm at the Mount Royal Funeral Complex (1297 Chemin de la Forêt, Outremont, H2V 2P9 www.mountroyalcem.com ). The funeral service will take place Monday, March 16, 2020 at 11am in the chapel of the funeral Complex.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada would be appreciated.
