In Celebration of

Kathleen Ann Williams

May 18, 1958 -  October 28, 2020

Kathleen passed away peacefully in the evening of Wednesday, October 28, 2020, at the CHSLD Centre Bayview in Pointe-Claire, Québec, in the presence of her devoted husband of 39 years, David Wayne Fleet. The memory of her loving spirit will be cherished by David and their three children Evan, Carolyn, Andrew, her daughter-in-law, Eleanor Berryman, her mother, Gloria Williams, her brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Gail Williams, her sister and brother-in-law, Jan and Allan Hunter, as well as her long list of treasured friends, nieces, and nephews.

Kathleen was the youngest child of Gloria Lyle Williams, née Higgins, and the late Harold Rae Williams. Born in London, Ontario, she grew up in Beaconsfield, Québec, before settling with her family in Kirkland. In 1976, Kathleen met David while working at The Royal St-Lawrence Yacht Club in Dorval. She returned to the Club in 1996 to manage the office, working together with David to meet the needs of all its members. Kathleen’s life was distinguished by her tireless devotion to her family and children. She endured with grace 9 years living with Multiple System Atrophy, demonstrating throughout the power of her unstoppable spirit and unshakeable ability to find humour in any situation. In her final years, she benefited from the compassionate care of the Centre Bayview’s second-floor staff and the warm and thoughtful companionship of Joanne Labelle.

A Celebration of Life will be held in 2021, conditional to on-going restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Those wishing to honour Kathleen’s memory may kindly donate to NOVA West Island, so that others can benefit from their quality care as Kathleen and her family did: https://www.novawi.org/copie-de-faire-un-don
