Kathleen Slater Borel

September 28, 1937 -  December 30, 2019


Passed away on December 30th 2019 at Vigi Mont Royal in Montreal at the age of 82. She had a long 36 year career at the Royal Bank of Canada split between Montreal and her native Trinidad and was a Senior Loans Officer at the time of her retirement.
She is survived by her former husband, Learie Borel, two sons, Mark and Nigel Borel and four grandchildren, Jacob, Keegan, Noah and Eve. Mom will also be greatly missed by many friends and relatives in Montreal and Trinidad including her siblings Joycelyn, Mona, Leslie, Claire, Aldwin, Lorna and Linda. Her three older brothers, Mervin, Neil and Desmond are deceased.

Funeral services will be held on January 10th, 2020 at 5 p.m.at the

Condolences to Learie and the Borel family. I met Kay years ago in Trinidad. She was a very pleasant and friendly person. Sorry to learn of her passing. May her soul rest in peace and rise in glory. Remember not to mourn as those without hope, for our hope lies in Christ Jesus.
