Golfeur passionné, collectionneur de guitares, Karl Hansen était un homme chaleureux, attachant et un collègue apprécié aux urgences de l’Hôpital général de Montréal. Doté d’un grand sens de l’humour, il a su traverser les épreuves tout en demeurant un être sensible aux autres et un amoureux extraordinaire.
Décédé subitement le 1er mai 2022, il laisse dans le deuil sa conjointe Anne-Marie, ses sœurs Myrna (Steven), Cynthia et Judy, ses nièces, ses beaux-frères et ses belles-sœurs, ainsi que de nombreux amis.
La famille recevra les condoléances au Complexe funéraire Mont-Royal, 1297 chemin de la Forêt, Outremont, QC, H2V 2P9, 514-279-6540, le mardi 31 mai 2022, de 14 h à 18 h. Le service funéraire aura lieu à 18 h.

Passionate golfer, guitar collector, Karl Hansen was a warm, endearing man and a valued colleague in the emergency room of the Montreal General Hospital. Endowed with a great sense of humor, he was able to get through the hardships while remaining sensitive to others and an extraordinary lover.
Passed away suddenly on May 1, 2022, he is survived by his spouse Anne-Marie, his sisters Myrna (Steven), Cynthia and Judy, his nieces, his brothers-in-law and his sisters-in-law, as well as many friends.
The family will receive condolences at the Mount Royal Funeral Complex, 1297 chemin de la Forêt, Outremont, QC, H2V 2P9, 514-279-6540, on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. The funeral service will be at 6 p.m.

I am very saddened to hear this news. I worked with Karl at the Montreal General Hospital Emergency Department during my time there. He was always happy, and helpful to staff, and patients and their families. While it’s been a few years since I had worked with or last seen Karl he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

J'ai toujours aimé travailler avec Karl parce qu'en plus d'être très efficace et compétent, il avait un bon sens de l'humour et était gentil. Avec tout le stress de l'urgence, il nous donnait l'heure juste tout en restant respectueux. Il nous manquera beaucoup.

I know Carl from weekends at St. Anne's Shrine in isle La Motte Vermont. He will be greatly missed. He was greatly missed this past weekend by all who knew him. Carl's spirit & presence will always be felt there for me.
