Karin Thibault nee Nicolas passed away peacefully on April 10th 2019.

She leaves behind her two daughters, Andrea Thibault (Lawrence) and Ingrid Berzins (Vincent), two grandchildren, Corinna (Robin) and Antoine (Kerstin) as well as two great- grandsons, Leo and Oliver.

Born in July 1924, Karin spent the first thirteen years of her long life in pre-World War II Germany, escaping those horrors in 1939 by emigrating with her parents and sister to Chile where she spent the next twenty years. In 1962, after a brief stint in the United States, she moved with her family to Canada, a country she came to love dearly and where she put down solid roots.

Friendships were very important to her. She was blessed to have loyal friends until the end, who made her transition into living in a residence a little easier. We, her family, thank them from the bottom of our hearts.
We also wish to thank the kind and professional staff at Les Floralies in LaSalle, especially Sharon and her team.

A private cremation has taken place. A reception in her honour will be held on April 16th 2019 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the
