In Celebration of

Karen Fick Brennan

September 1, 1944 -  October 28, 2021

It is with great sadness that the family of Karen Fick Brennan announce her sudden passing October 28, 2021.
Karen Brennan was born on September 1, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois. The daughter of the late Fred and Ellen Fick and sister to Sandy (Larry Preuter), Aunt to Lynnie & Kris. She is survived by her best friend & loving husband of 57 years, Jack Brennan; daughters Tracy Brennan (Eric Spiekman) and Heather Brennan Monaghan (Pierre Monaghan); and adored Nana to her beloved grandchildren Taylor, Kelly, Grace and Jack.
Nana, as she was known later in life, was a very special Lady. She was a registered nurse specializing in ICU care and gave up her career to tend to her family and she did so tirelessly, right up until her last day. She loved to garden & play tennis, especially with her friends at Lac Marois, was a great cook & loved to entertain. She volunteered at the MGH for 25 years, she baked & made jam to show her love & gratitude, loved to watch old movies, had a song for conversation, was loving & kind, and put everyone else’s need before her own. We all feel blessed to have had her in our life and will be lost without her.
A special thank you to the doctors and nurses at the Montreal General Hospital ICU and Trauma center for their outstanding care and support. Thank you to Dr. David Mulder for always being there for our family.
Visitation will be held at the Mount Royal Funeral Complex (1297 Foret Rd, Outremont, Quebec) on Thursday November 4, 2021 from 5pm – 8pm.
