In Celebration of

Joseph Robert Szucs

August 29, 1945 -  November 22, 2019

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Joseph Robert (Bob) Szucs on November 22, 2019, at the age of 74. He will be greatly missed by Irene, his loving wife and best friend of 50 years, his son Stephen (daughter-in-law Rachel), daughter Erika (son-in-law Tom), and his grandchildren Elias and Evangeline. And let's not forget his furry family members Chewy, Lio, Charmin and Maggie.
Bob worked at Air Canada for more than 35 years, rising through the ranks from mechanic to manager. After retiring, his pastimes included playing golf, bowling and going to his grandson's hockey/baseball games where he cheered - loudly.

His family will receive the condolences onThursday November 28th, 2019 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Belvedere Funeral Complex, 22025 Trans-Canada, Senneville, Qc, H9X 0B2, 514 457-4440. A funeral service will be followed at 5 p.m. in the Complex.

No longer in our life to share, but in our hearts, you’re always there.” - Unknown

I so enjoyed our quick chats each morning after he left George’s office!
I had been visiting my Mom at the hospital and told Bob about her room mate.....a lady from Poland unable to speak English. I later found out, Bob started going to the hospital to act as her translator!
He never told me!! He was a softie but didn’t want it recognized!!
He will be missed.
My best to the family. He was special,

It is with great surprise that I heard of Bob's passing. I would like to pass along my sincere condolence to his wife and extended family. For many years in my daily travels at the Dorval Technical facility, I would run into Bob. He always was extremely cordial and enjoyable to interact with.

He will sadly missed by his many AC friends and co workers in the NDT area.

Sincerely, Brian

I worked with Bob many years at Air Canada. I remember Bob with affection, as an outgoing, competent, and cooperative person. I recall one occasion where we had a grounded aircraft which needed an inspection before it could be released. Air Canada badly needed that aircraft to be operational. Bob had just come home from work and was relaxing with his family when I called him and asked him to return and carry out the inspection. He came with no complaint, did the inspection and the aircraft was released. This is but one example of Bob’s great contribution to Air Canada.
I am sorry to hear of his passing at a relatively young age.
