Joseph "Joe" Morielli

20 août 2020
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Joe Morielli on August 20th, 2020. He was the patriarch of our family and will be dearly missed by his devoted wife and best friend, Julie (born Peluso), his beloved daughters; Andrea (Robert), Lori (Jason), his adoring grandchildren who deeply loved their nonno; Alexander, Lauren, Matteo, Juliana, and Michael. He is predeceased by his father, Nicola Morielli and his mother, Carmella (born Paulozza), his sisters Mena & Lucia, he leaves behind his only brother Saverio, his sisters Ida, Maria, Carolina, his mother-in-law Mary, his brother-in-law Anthony (Elizabeth), and his many loved nieces and nephews. Born in Italy in the small town of Monterotondo, Joe moved to Canada at the age of 8 years old along with his mother and siblings. He was a hard worker and an entrepreneur from an early age. From delivering groceries with a wagon he built himself, being a drummer in a band, opening his own electronics store, owning numerous car dealerships, and then finally finding his true calling joining Julie in real estate. Later encouraging his 2 daughters to join them in what became a family business, Team Morielli. Joe was an eternal optimist, he led by example by always seeing the glass half full. He was generous at heart, lived life to the fullest, enjoying travelling, cars, and spending quality time with his family. Above all, the driving force in his life was the love he had for Julie and his family. Sempre nei nostri cuori.
The family is especially grateful to the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Royal Victoria MUHC for their kindness and care.
The family will receive condolences on Wednesday August 26th, 2020 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Belvedere Funeral Complex, 22025 Trans-Canada, Senneville, Qc, H9X 0B2, 514 457-4440. A funeral service will be held at St. Thomas à Becket's Church, 4320 Ste. Anne Street, Pierrefonds, Qc, H9H 4Y7 at 12 p.m.
