In Celebration of

John Tantner

December 29, 1929 -  June 26, 2020

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of John Tantner on
June 26, 2020 at the age of 90. Predeceased by his beloved wife Katherine of 65 years.
He will be greatly missed and his memory forever cherished by his loving son Bruno.

Possessed with a personality larger than life, John acquired friends easily and built
a successful career in the restaurant business. He was always there to offer a helping
hand to others and managed to find the good in everyone he met. John was an
eternal optimist and loved visiting his property in Hemmingford with Katherine where
they gardened and enjoyed life.

A special thanks to the medical staff at the Jewish General Hospital for the excellent
care, respect and dignity he received.

Dear Bruno,
First of all my deepest condolences to you and your family. From what I heard about your father that you had described to me he was as a genuine warm honest giving human being as well as being a wonderful upbeat husband and father. Bruno I also observed over the last six months the great love and your unbelievable devotion you had with your father. which these beautiful memories can never be taken away. .You and your father were blessed and graced to have a relationship like.that and that may he rest in peace .Be well

John and I were saddened to learn your Father had passed away following our earlier encouraging conversation on his health status.

Please accept our sincere condolences along with Stefan during this difficult time.

It was a great pleasure meeting your Father with you for lunch at cafe. Unfortunate, because of family commitments, we were unable to have his valued expertise to direct our business.

May he Rest In Peace, joining your Mother and his beloved wife.
