He was a great friend to me over the years and a great man. I will miss him immensely whether playing golf or our winter get togethers.
So long friend.
Merci pour ton amitié, ta personnalité vraie et attachante , ta bonne humeur, etc...
Tu restes gravé dans nos coeurs.
Paix cher John.
Cordialement,

John, you were the best friend, confidant, colleague, fellow actor and all round good bloke that anyone could wish for. I will remember our times together with fondness, and your passing with sadness. RIP mon ami.
I met John almost 25 years ago when he played my father in a play. We immediately developed a deep friendship. From that summer on we also became golf buddies and golfed tens of rounds together every year. As Diane was his bookkeeper and all around GM, I thank her for letting him get out there as often as we did. The awesome memories we shared together are literally too numerous to count.
John also came into my life at a time when my father was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and his friendship played a big part in helping me get through that.
Thank you Diane for allowing me to visit him in Palliative care, say goodbye, and tell him I loved him. My deepest condolences to you, Blair and Chris for your loss.
John was a precious gem of a man.
I will miss you John, and yes, you can have another mulligan...
John and I met 11 years ago for a movie shoot in the Laurentians. The film never made it into the cinemas but my friendship with this wonderful man lived on. When we saw each other for the last time, he had just brilliantly completed a two-men play at the "Hudson Village Theatre" . After the show which must have been exhausting, he took the opportunity to greet us in the foyer. I will miss him dearly. Long after our first movie shoot we met occasionally in a café in Montreal to exchange thoughts and ideas. I haven't met many more decent men than John. R.I.P. my friend. (I dedicated a blogpost to this wonderful man. It's in German, my native language. You could always have it translated into the language of your choice: https://blog.herbertbopp.com/2023/02/24/tod-eines-schauspielers
