In Celebration of

Jindra Viezel (née Rosenbaum)

September 22, 1927 -  April 19, 2019

Peacefully, on Friday, April 19, 2019. Beloved wife of the late Ernest Viezel for sixty-five years. Devoted and loving mother and mother-in-law of Michael (Lise), Magda (Robbie). Proud Nanny of Rebecca, Steven (Natalie), Alex (Lesley) and Maxine (Roca), great-grandmother to Asher and Callum. Predeceased by many who she dearly loved and who loved her, including the numerous animals she and Ernest rescued and cared for during all of their years together. Nobody cared for others, human or otherwise, more than Jindra and Ernest. If you were lucky enough to know them, you are well aware of their warmth, wit, wisdom, generosity and their strong beliefs in unity, acceptance and caring for others. They will be greatly missed but the lessons and memories they have left behind will remain with us forever. Many thanks to the staff of Mount Sinai Hospital for the kindness and care extended to Mom for the past four years. There are so many of you to thank.
Funeral service from Mount Royal Commemorative Services, 1297 Chemin de la Foret, Outremont, QC H2V 2P9 on April 24, 2019 at 1pm, visitation starting at 12pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jindra's memory may be made to the S.P.C.A., (514)735-2711 extension: 2240.

Dear Magda and Family,
I met Jindra almost 45 years ago, the same summer I became close friends with you Magda. From the very beginning, I was welcomed into your home and spent many enjoyable times over many years. I will always remember her as gentle, witty, generous and strong women. We had many wonderful conversations and she had much wisdom to give. There is nothing she and your Dad would not do for the family and for friends.
I know she will be missed but not forgotten.
