In Celebration of

Inga Zohar (nee Kac)

October 17, 1930 -  January 21, 2022

It is with very sad hearts that we say goodbye to our dear mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She fought valiantly until the end and is now with the love of her life, Stofi.

She was a remarkable woman of great strength, courage and character. She escaped communist Yugoslavia to Austria and then for a better life, to Canada with her family. She was proud of her Slovenian heritage and maintained many customs and traditions. She was a tailor by trade and worked many years in the textile industry in Montreal with her grandchildren recipients of her wonderful work. She loved to cook and bake and shared all her wonderful meals with family and friends. She made the best potica and apple strudel for everyone to enjoy. She loved gardening, nature and the occasional Gin and Tonic. She shared many wonderful moments with a great group of friends, laughing, eating and singing traditional Slovenian songs. Most of all she loved her family. Nothing brought more joy to her heart than her great grandchildren, who were the loves of her life.

She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Tanya (Reinhard) and Helen (Gino), by her grandchildren Tara (Andrew) and Matthew (Julie), and by her great grandchildren Jade, Logan, Benjamin and Carmine. She will also be missed by her sister, Josephine Bosina, her nephew Joe and niece Tamara and numerous good friends.

May the winds of heaven blow softly in your ear. Love leaves a memory no one can steal. Until we meet again.
