CHAMBERLAND (née Giroux), Gisèle
June 30, 1928 – February 27, 2023
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gisèle Giroux Chamberland on Monday, February 27, 2023, at the age of 94, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Born and raised in Pointe-Claire, Gisèle was very dedicated to her hair salon and enjoyed spending her free time tending to her gardens.
Gisèle was the loving daughter of the late Romeo and Alice Giroux, and wife of the late René Chamberland. Gisèle was also the caring and devoted mother of the late Paul Chamberland (February 2023).
Gisèle’s absence will be deeply felt by her friends Ginette, Jordan, Nick, Ryan, Mike, and the entire Osmoco family and Giroux family. She will also be missed by her late husband’s family, the Chamberlands, and many other friends and loyal salon clients.
A memorial and celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at 1 p.m. at the Belvedere Cemetery and Funeral Complex located at 22025 Trans-Canada Highway, Senneville, Quebec.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.

C’est avec une grande tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de Gisèle Giroux Chamberland le lundi 27 février 2023, à l’âge de 94 ans, après un long combat contre la maladie d’Alzheimer.
Gisèle est née et a grandi à Pointe-Claire. Elle se consacrait avec dévouement à son salon de coiffure et aimait passer ses temps libres à s’occuper de ses jardins.
Gisèle était la fille aimante de feu Roméo et Alice Giroux, et l’épouse de feu René Chamberland. Gisèle était également la mère attentionnée et généreuse de feu Paul Chamberland (février 2023).
L’absence de Gisèle sera profondément ressentie par ses amis Ginette, Jordan, Nick, Ryan, Mike, toute la famille Osmoco et la famille Giroux. Gisèle manquera également à la famille de son défunt mari, les Chamberland, ainsi qu’à de nombreux autres amis et clients fidèles du salon.
Une cérémonie de célébration de la vie aura lieu le samedi 22 avril 2023, à 13 h, au Cimetière et Complexe funéraire Belvédère, situé au 22025, autoroute Transcanadienne, à Senneville (Québec).
Au lieu de fleurs, vos marques de sympathie peuvent se traduire par un don à la Société Alzheimer du Canada.
