George W. Mosher

March 6, 1920 -  March 13, 2018

George Ward Mosher

It is with deep sorrow that I announce the entry of George into God’s eternal home.
George was born in Nelsonville near cold spring N.Y. on March 6, 1920 to Guy and Aimee Mosher. Youngest of 4 siblings.

In his youth he worked at a furniture and rubber factory, then as WWII set in he did tours of duty in North Africa, Italy, France and Germany. Following the war he worked at West Point N.Y. for 10 years. Moving to Canada in 1956 where he worked for Gulf Oil (now Ultramar) till retirement in 1979. Of Scottish heritage he was a loyal and proud member of Sons of Scotland Mount Stephen Camp #76 serving as chief and district chief. Also an avid bowler, card player and prankster.

George is predeceased by his life time partner Maurice of 50 years in 2012. He is survived by several nieces and nephews in U.S. - Namely Judy (Gerald) Thomas of Florida and Ken (Patti) Culbert of Canton, Mass. Also his very close friend Allan Kuba of Montreal, his beloved dog ‘Teddy’ and cat ‘Miss Whiskers’.

Special thanks to two special ladies Rouwana and Faan for their loving care and compassion in his hour of need.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 18th 2018 from 1:30pm to 4pm, followed by a funeral service at 4pm and reception at
