C’est avec tristesse que nous vous annonçons le décès de M. Gaston Lamontagne, survenu le 20 février 2020 à Montréal. Fils de Émile Lamontagne et de Juliette Legault, Gaston a été précédé dans la mort par son conjoint bien-aimé Donald Luc Boisvert. Il laisse dans le deuil son frère Luc (Clémence) et ses soeurs Rita (Gilles), Lucie (Marcel), Hélène (André) et Fernande (Yvon), ses neveux et nieces ainsi que sa belle-famille; Joanne, Louise, Linda et Félix Boisvert et leurs enfants. Gaston a eu une longue carrière au sein de la Fonction publique du Canada.
La famille recevra les condonléances le jeudi 27 février 2020 de 13h00 à 14h00, suivi d’un service religieux à 14h00 à la Cathédrale Christ Church, situé au 635 rue Sainte-Catherine Ouest à Montréal.
Les gens qui désirent honorer la mémoire de Gaston peuvent faire un don au fond de Bourse Donald L. Boisvert et Gaston Lamontagne pour les études gaies et lesbiennes sur le site de l’Université Concordia en spécifiant le nom du fond (engage.concordia.ca/donate) ou en téléphonant au 514-848-2424 poste 3884 ou à tout organisme venant en aide aux réfugiés.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gaston Lamontagne on February, 20, 2020 in Montreal.
Son of Émile Lamontagne and Juliette Legault, Gaston was predeceased by his beloved spouse Donald Luc Boisvert and leaves in bereavement his brother Luc (Clémence), his sisters Rita (Gilles), Lucie (Marcel), Hélène (André) and Fernande (Yvon) as well as nieces and nephews and his in-law’s Joanne, Louise, Linda and Félix Boisvert and their children. Gaston worked for many years for the Public Service of Canada.
Family will receive condolences on Thursday, February 27th, 2020 from 1pm to 2pm, followed by a religious service at 2pm at Christ Church Cathedral, located 635 St. Catherine St. West, Montreal.
Those who wish to honour the memory of Gaston are invited to make a donation to the Donald F. Boisvert and Gaston Lamontagne scholarship for Gay and Lesbian Studies on the website of Concordia University (engage.condordia.ca/donate) or by calling at 514-848-2424 ext. 3884 specifying the name of the scholarship or to make a donation to an organization helping refugees.
