In Celebration of

Erwin Schroeder

September 6, 1928 -  September 11, 2022

Died peacefully on Sunday, September 11th at the Sunrise in Beaconsfield. Erwin was preceded in death by his dear wife Anne in a marriage of 66 years. Erwin is survived by his three sons Richard (Christine Schwenger), Ronald (Aileen Grogan) and Robert (Arlene Pinard), his beloved grandchildren Jessica, Kathleen (Riad Daher), Karl, Ryan, Ashley, Amanda, Melanie and Pamela, great-grandson Zayn and great-granddaughter Zahra.

After arriving in Canada in 1949 Erwin began his career in the electrical field with H. R. Cassidy. In 1967 he started Kingston Electric in LaSalle, and in 1984 he started the Penta-Schroder Electric family business. Erwin was a well respected business man. He was honest, tough and straightforward, and his work was his passion. Outside of work he was a warden for a number of years at Resurrection of Our Lord parish in Lachine and was involved in the Lachine Senior Men’s Soccer Association. Erwin also loved playing cards with family and friends.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all the staff in the Reminiscence section of the Sunrise in Beaconsfield who provided such great care to Erwin for the past three years. He adored all of you.

Anyone wishing to pay respects to the family are invited to a visitation and reception on Saturday October 22nd, at the Belvedere Funeral Complex at 22025 Trans-Canada Hwy in Senneville from 1 pm to 4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or to the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.

My deepest sympathy to the Schroeder family for the loss. Wishing you peace, comfort, courage and lots of love during this time of sorrow.

Although i never met Mr. Schroeder, i have heard great compliments and praises from my colleagues who worked with Mr. Schroeder with regards to his work ethics, knowledge, dedication and committement to his work.

I also had the privilege to work with his sons Ron and Richard who both are extremely knowledgeable with their field of work, and very dedicated and committed to their work and to provide support.

Mr. Schroeder, you have definitely raised a strong and professional family and have passed on many of your great qualities to the next generation! Rest in peace!
