In Celebration of

Elizabeth Lucy Regan

November 18, 1961 -  January 31, 2021

Beautiful and beloved, Lucy passed away peacefully at the age of 59. She was a truly kind soul who brightened the lives of all who knew her. Her sharp wit and sense of humour brought us countless moments of happiness and laughter. As much as she was with us in those joyful moments, she was also there for us when times were tough, opening her home to anyone in need of a helping hand, a shoulder to cry on, or some words of encouragement. She was always ready with a cup of tea, a glass of wine, or a sweet treat to make us feel welcome and loved. Her kindness was not limited to people, as Lucy was forever on the lookout for abandoned cats and other creatures who seemed to have an instinct that guided them to her door.

Lucy was a devoted mother to her treasured daughter Jacqueline, who has always been an immense source of happiness and pride for her. Jackie has inherited her mother’s incredible sense of humour and affinity for multiple cats.

Lucy leaves behind the love of her life, her fiancé and best friend, Philippe Blais. Lue and Phil were true kindred spirits who shared a love of nature, animals, and not-so-fine white wine. Together, Lue, Phil and Jackie became a great team, always finding strength in each other. Throughout Lucy’s battle with cancer, they continued to find joy and peace in life’s simple pleasures, like watching the daily rush of birds feeding outside the window or being entertained by Lue’s uniquely charming dog, Jake, who had her wrapped around his fluffy paw.

Lucy is predeceased by her father, Thomas, and will be dearly missed by her mother, Veronica. As one of six children in a rambunctious Irish family, her siblings will forever hold onto many fond memories of growing up in Boucherville and a lifetime of wonderful moments together throughout the years. Lue’s passing leaves a deep void in the lives of her sisters Moira (Steve) and Cathy (Arthur), and her brothers John (Kelly), Patrick (Julie), and Michael (Tasia).

Forever the funny, accepting, and caring aunt, Lucy had an immense impact on the lives of her many nieces and nephews. She will be fondly remembered by aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as her many loyal friends who have been an amazing source of support and strength for her.

Many thanks for the devoted care she received at the Glen, especially to Drs. Gilbert and Mandilaras, and her nurse Enza.

A celebration of Lucy’s life will be announced at a later date.

Someone who cared so much about life , animals and of course her family and friends she has been taken way to young. Will miss seeing her with your Mum when this thing is over. She was so fun to chat with! She will be sorely missed by all of you. Big hug to all. My thoughts are with you. Cheryl

To Lucy’s beautiful family please accept my sincere condolences in this devastating loss of a beautiful woman.
I only met Lucy Christmas 2019 in Montreal with all the family there. She was bright and cheerful, optimistic and warm. Cancer takes too many too young and this is no exception.
To Jacqueline, I lost my mother to breast cancer at 49. Keep your memories close. Know that she is near. Mothers never leave and the bond they create cannot be broken. May you all find comfort in the coming months.

To the entire Regan Family and Lucy's family and friends,
My heart goes out to all of you.
The world is most definitely a little less bright, a little less funny and a little less welcoming without Lucie.
I met Lucy a handful of times at family events, and even as a young teenager, Lucy was the epitome of fun and life.
As I grew up and moved out, Lucy became my neighbour and our chats by the trash bins, sidewalk or from our cars, always brightened up my days.
She will always be in my thoughts and prayers.
May her memory forever be a blessing to us all.
