In Celebration of

Eleonore Kushnerewicz Mackett

September 3, 1925 -  December 11, 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eleanor (Leona) Mackett (nee Kushnerewick) on December 11, 2022. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Sidney Mackett and several of her loving siblings. She is survived by her sisters Stephanie Tetrault, Anne Asmar, and Sophie Nimer, as well as many nieces and nephews. Always vibrant and full of life, Leona remained active well into her nineties. She loved to travel with her sisters and was always ready to join in any outing. Leona retired from Bell Canada in 1987 after 28 years of faithful service.

Her last few months were spent in the care of the wonderful staff at the CHSLD Marcelle-Ferron, and the family extends to them their deepest gratitude for treating Leona “like a queen”.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, Dec 21 between 12-2 at the Mount Royal Funeral Complex at 1297 Chemin de la Foret, Outremont. The funeral service will take place at 2PM, followed by the burial.

A reception will follow immediately after the service where family and friends will gather to share in many wonderful memories of Leona. Food and refreshments will be served.
