Passed away peacefully at the age of 98 on March 1, 2020. She was born to the late Petre and Elisabeta Georgescu on February, 21, 1922 in Bucharest, Romania.

She was married to her predeceased husband, Alexandru Ion Scarlat. Elena is survived by her two children; Helen Scarlat (Donald Dobson) and Alexander Scarlat (Helen Kotsovos), as well as her 4 grandchildren; Christopher Dobson (Alyssa Andreoli), Natasha Dobson (Jordan Duval-Brown), Laetitia Scarlat (Simon Lanier) and Katharine Scarlat.

Family will receive condolences on Friday, March 6th, 2020 from 4pm, followed by a funeral service at 6pm at the
