Dušan ‘Duke’ Germanovich
1936-2017

On the afternoon of Friday, September 8th, 2017, Dušan ‘Duke’ Germanovich closed his eyes and took his last breath.

Duke spent all his life in his beloved Montreal. He was mostly self-taught, spoke three languages and had a lifelong love of learning. He enjoyed discovering new places, finding objects and books that became his treasures. He had a passion for antiques, especially old cars. Duke was very proud of his Yugoslav heritage. Spending time with family and friends was his favorite thing to do. He lived life to the fullest.

Duke was very creative, had an artistic flair and a very keen sense of humour. He had a smile that would light up any room and his beautiful blue eyes melted many hearts.

He is survived by his daughters Tamara Mala (Charles) and Anissa (John), adored granddaughters Alexandra, Sarah and Meagan, cherished nephew Karim and many loving friends. He fought the good fight.
Duke was predeceased by his father Jovo, mother Stana, brother Milan, sister Rose, niece Linda and long- time friend Vittorio.

The family would like to give special thanks to the outstanding commitment and stellar care of Dr. Sarit E. Assouline, the kindness and compassion of Rosemary Steinberg and the unwavering friendship and dedication of Hans Walser, Guy Dupuis and Susan De la Fosse.

A gathering of friends and family will be held on Wednesday, September 13th, 2017 at 11am at the
