It will be the little things
that you will remember,
the quiet moments,
the smiles, the laughter.
And although it may seem
hard right now,
it will be the memories
of these little things
that help to push
away the pain
and bring the smiles
back again

My name is Anthony Kimber. I am a boyhood "Cottage" friend of Don's. Like all of you, I am shocked and saddened at this tragedy. As a youngster, spending summers in St Donat, Don seemed to have it all, and seemed to just "Get" everything. He was smart, and savvy. He had a fabulous vocabulary, was an awesome mimic, (Rodney Dangerfield). He could build anything, ride a motorcycle, fix an outboard or reshingle a roof. When computers were in their inception, guess who was leading the pack to develop software? Even though Don and I were not close like most of you, he was nevertheless a person I greatly admired. Loyal friend, devoted father, wonderful son and brother. I am a person of faith, and would like to believe that Don is skating on a perfect , flat unblemished ice surface. May the God that created all things, bring your families comfort and solace at this incredibly difficult time. Rest in peace, brother. Your life has left an indelible mark on all of us.
My condolences to the Etienne family.
