Dave was a tremendous guy. He was good on the ice, and GREAT in the room. And anyone who plays beer league hockey knows that being great in the room is much more important than being good on the ice! I also spent time with Dave while we were both involved with the Montreal West Scout Group. Just like at hockey, it was always a pleasure spending time with Dave. Dave will be missed by everyone who knew him. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family. Hopefully knowing how much everyone liked and respected Dave will make things a little but easier for you. Woodsy, I'll miss you!

I'll think of Woodsy and his giggle. He always had a smile on his face!

Thank you Dave for inviting me to the various hockey tournaments you organized. It was always a great time because you made it happen. Thank you for showing us that we are always young enough to play hockey and enjoy a cold beer amongst friends. And now that the net is empty, I'll may be able to score a goal on you!

Rest in peace.

My deepest condolences to the whole family. I became friends with Sylvia a few years ago. Often when I phoned, Dave would answer and we had many great conversations about his love for the Scouts, hockey, his family and his community involvement. He had a pretty good sense of humor! In many cases, I never had a chance to speak with Sylvia! I wish Sylvia, Darcy, Sabrina and the rest of Dave's friends and family comfort that his spirit lives on.

Dave was really "one of the boys" - he loved his hockey and post-game beers and shooting the sh*t. He was loved by his teammates, and he'll be missed very much. To the Wood family, please accept my deepest condolences on your loss.
