David Leslie Thorpe passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Vancouver General Hospital, surrounded by his family and friends. He is survived by his partner Shauna, mother Wendy (Stepdad Gerry Flohr), father Leslie, brother Ian (Amanda), stepbrothers Douglas, Robert, and stepsister Libby. Dave was born on March 14, 1968 in Montreal, where he spent the first 31 years of his incredible life. In 1999, Dave moved to Vancouver, and the city would remain his home for the next 19 years. In 2005 he met Shauna and they were inseparable thereafter. His career creating props and as a buyer for the film and TV industry was a perfect outlet for his creativity and innovative mind. Dave had a passion for traveling the world, down hill skiing, photography and shared a love of animals. He smiled at life and lived it to the fullest with his friends and family. His strength, courage, and hopefulness over the past year are an inspiration for all.

A celebration of life will be held on August 4th, 2018 from 3pm to 6pm at Belvedere Funeral Complex located at 22025 rue Transcanadienne, Senneville, Qc, H9X 0B2.
