In Celebration of

Danièle Dorice Angers Skerczak

July 23, 1935 -  March 12, 2018

DANIELE DORICE (ANGERS SKERCZAK)
DORIS ANGERS

1935 – 2018 passed away peacefully on March 12, 2018 after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by her parents Loretta LeClair and Roland Angers, her sister Marlene and her brothers Ronald, Arnold, Robert and George. She leaves to mourn her beloved husband William Anton Skerczak, her cherished daughter Penni Sicurella, son-in-law James Sicurella, her grandchildren Alessandra, Liborio and Anthony and her two sisters Denyse (Angé-Brebner) and Louise (Niemi) along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Daniele’s singing career originated in Quebec city and her accomplishments enabled her to travel the world doing what she loved for over 50 years. Daniele was also a very successful business woman having opened a dance and music hall school and an Interntional Dance Competition Corp. Her personality was larger than life and her kind spirit helped many young performers along the way. She was generous to a fault. Daniele’s joie de vivre was contagious and she enjoyed entertaining royally. As travelled and accomplished as Daniele was, she was always a down home girl from Quebec and her biggest pleasure in life were her grandchildren and her family. She remained the elegant grande dame to the end.

Visitations will be held on Friday between 1 and 4 pm and 5 to 7pm. Funeral Service will be held from 7 to 8 pm.

Getting to know Danièle, learning from her and working with her was a privilege and a gift. Many of us owe her some of our fondest memories and her teachings have helped us in so many aspects of our lives, well beyond the glitter and the feathers. My thoughts go out to Bill and Penni, as well as all close and extended family. Merci pour tout Danièle.
