Cristinel (Cris) Putureanu

March 02, 1953 - May 19, 2022

In loving memory of Cristinel Putureanu, who peacefully passed away at the Valleyfield Hospital with his family at his bedside on May 19, 2022 at the age of 69. He will be cherished as a loving husband to Adriana Spravel. He is survived by his brother Adrian, his mother Constanta, as well as his three children: Venetia (son-in-law Mario Zappia), Roxana (son-in-law Tom Long) and Victor. Cris was a beloved grandfather known as Bunu to Thomas, Liliana, Bianca, Antonio and Victoria.

Born in Romania, Cris’ studies may have brought him to electrical engineering, but in 1976 love brought him to his soul mate Adriana Spravel. A pioneer in everything he did, with nothing more than a hundred dollars in his pocket, he managed to bring his family to Canada in the year of 1992 followed by the building of his small empire which included a duplex, a sixplex and a cottage, appropriately named Villa Roxy after his youngest daughter Roxana. It was no secret that Cris longed for a son and in 1994, that honor was bestowed upon the family…Victor was born.

Cris was an exceptional father that always had something to teach and help us think outside the box. Living life to the fullest and challenging the status quo was his motto. He used to say: “If you don’t like what you got, why don’t you change it and if you know there’s something wrong, why don’t you right it”.

Oh Lord, in your loving arms we entrust our beloved father. Please let him Rest in Peace in your loving arms!
Dumnezeu sa-l ierte si sa-l odihneasca!

Cris’ family and friends are invited to gather for a service, followed by a reception on Tuesday May 24th, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Belvedere Cemetery and Funeral Complex, 22025 Trans-Canada Highway Senneville, Québec H9X 0B2.

I believe Cris will leave this world in peace. When I came over to see how he was doing, I asked him if there were anything he wishes to do prior to his departure, and he replied: "No, I did everything I wanted". To me, that's the most important thing. I will never thank him enough to have raise Victor, the way he did. He can be proud to have passed on his genius and resourcefulness. Rest in Peace Cris. I know you will make sure to prepare a warm and comfortable heaven for your beloved ones when their time will come.

Best,

Mike
